Who We Are
Animetattoos.com ("we," "us," "our") operates a platform that connects anime, video game, and pop culture tattoo fans with tattoo artists. We offer two things: a free, curated artist directory, and an optional paid booking System for artists who want us to manage their client acquisition.
This policy explains exactly what data we collect, what we do with it, and — just as importantly — what we never do with it.

The Short Version
Here is our entire data philosophy in plain language:
We do not sell your data. Ever. To anyone.
We do not share your information with any artist other than the one you specifically chose to contact.
Our No Cost artist profiles collect no information from visitors. You browse, you click through to the artist's Instagram, and the conversation happens between you and them. We never see it.
We do not use one artist's clients to market to or book appointments with another artist.
The rest of this policy is the detail behind those four statements.
Information We Collect
1. Free Artist Profile Visitors: Nothing
When you browse free artist profiles on AnimeTattoos.com, we collect no personal information from you. Free profiles display the artist's bio, location, portfolio images, and a link to their Instagram. If you want to book an artist, you contact them directly through Instagram. We are not part of that conversation, we do not see it, and we do not store any record of it.
There is no form, no email capture, and no inquiry system attached to free artist profiles.
2. Tattoo Inquiry Submissions (Paid Booking Program)
When you submit a tattoo idea through a sponsored artist's landing page, we collect the information you provide:
Your name
Your email address
Your phone number
Your tattoo idea, including references, placement, size, and timing preferences
This information is used for one purpose: to evaluate your project, communicate with you about it, and book your appointment with the specific artist you submitted to.
3. Artist Applications
When an artist applies for a free profile or inquires about the paid booking program, we collect the information they provide, such as their name, contact information, portfolio links, and business details. This is used to review their application and, if accepted, build and display their profile.
4. Payment Information
When a client reserves an appointment, a deposit is collected to secure the booking. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card numbers on our servers. Payment data is handled by the payment processor under their own security and privacy standards.
5. Site Analytics and Cookies
Like most websites, we use standard analytics tools — Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel — to understand how visitors use our site. These tools may collect information such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited. This data is aggregated and used to improve the site and measure the effectiveness of our own marketing. It is not sold, and it is not used to identify individual visitors.

6. Communications
When you contact us, submit a form, or reply to our messages, we keep a record of that communication so our team can serve you and so nothing gets lost between team members.
What We Never Do
This section exists because we'd rather over-communicate than under-communicate.
We never sell your personal information. Not to data brokers, not to marketers, not to anyone, for any price.
We never share your inquiry information with any artist other than the one you submitted to. If you submit a tattoo idea to Artist A, your information goes to Artist A. It does not go to Artist B, C, or anyone else. Ever.
We never use one artist's clients to market to or book appointments with another artist. Your artist relationship is yours.
We never collect information from free profile visitors. The free directory is a doorway, not a data collection tool.
We never send you marketing messages unrelated to the tattoo inquiry you submitted. If you gave us your number to book a tattoo, we use it to book your tattoo.
How We Use Information
Inquiry information is used to communicate with you about your tattoo project, qualify your project, schedule your appointment, and process your deposit.
Artist application information is used to review applications, build artist profiles, and operate the paid booking program for artists who join it.
Analytics data is used to improve the website and measure marketing performance.
Communication records are used to provide support and maintain service quality.
How and When We Share Information
We share personal information only in these specific circumstances:
With the artist you chose. When you submit a tattoo inquiry through a sponsored artist's page, your name, contact information, and tattoo details are shared with that specific artist so they can tattoo you. This is the core function of the service — the artist needs to know who they're tattooing. No other artist receives your information.
With service providers who help us operate. We use trusted third-party service providers to run the platform, including providers for communications and booking management, Stripe for payment processing, Google Analytics for site analytics, and Meta Pixel for advertising measurement. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security standards.
When required by law. We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or a lawful request from public authorities.
To protect rights and safety. We may disclose information when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of AnimeTattoos.com, our users, our artists, or the public.

Text Messages and Consent
When you submit a tattoo inquiry, you consent to receive text messages from our booking team about your project. These messages relate specifically to the tattoo inquiry you submitted — scheduling, project details, and appointment coordination.
You can reply STOP at any time to opt out of text messages. You can reply HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply.
We do not send promotional texts unrelated to your inquiry.
Data Retention
Inquiry and booking information is retained for as long as needed to serve your appointment and comply with legal and tax requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
Artist profile information is retained while the artist's profile is active, and deleted within 30 days of a removal request.
Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings of the analytics provider.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate information.
Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information.
Opt-out of communications: Reply STOP to any text message, or use the unsubscribe link in any email.
California residents: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete it, the right to opt out of any sale of personal information — and to be clear, we do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of — and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.
EU/UK residents: If you are located in the EU or UK, you have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and portability.

Children's Privacy
AnimeTattoos.com is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EU), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
International Visitors
AnimeTattoos.com is accessible globally. If you access our site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our servers and service providers are located. We take steps to ensure transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect the information we hold, including access controls, encrypted connections (SSL/TLS), and restricted team access to data on a need-to-know basis. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take the protection of your data seriously and treat it as a core operational responsibility.
