One of One Piece’s greatest strengths has always been its characters—especially the Straw Hat crew. They’re the heart of the story. Through every island, every battle, and every emotional moment, it’s these bonds that carry the show. And it all started with these five. From their dreams to their backstories to the way they show up for Luffy and each other, these characters helped build the One Piece we all love today. No wonder fans keep getting them tattooed.

Here are 5 incredible Straw Hat tattoos by 5 amazing artists.

I’m Gonna Be King of the Pirates

Artist: Yakir Tattooer

From day one, Luffy's dream was clear—he was going to be King of the Pirates. What started as a kid with a straw hat and a wild declaration became one of the most powerful and respected captains in the world. One of my favorite moments has to be when he lands Red Roc on Kaido and says that same line with his chest. That’s the moment you realize how far Luffy really has come. This tattoo captures all of that. The fist, the confident smirk, and the iconic line!

King of Hell

Artist: Alex Lane

Zoro’s whole story is about loyalty and becoming stronger for the people he cares about. From the moment he told Mihawk he’d never lose again, to taking Luffy’s pain at Thriller Bark, to his epic “King of Hell” moment in Wano—Zoro’s growth is unreal. This tattoo catches that fire. Sword up, eye shut, bandana on—Zoro at his most focused and deadly. You can feel that energy right through the ink.

Help Me

Artist: Valentina Fracassini

Nami’s one of the most important people in the crew. And her journey hits different. From being a thief with a secret, to finally breaking down and asking Luffy for help—it’s one of the most iconic scenes in all of One Piece. That moment showed trust, pain, and finally freedom. This tattoo catches her mid-battle, orange hair wild, eyes determined. She’s more than the navigator—she’s the heart and glue of the crew.

The Liar Who Will Be Brave

Artist: Mason Hamilton

Usopp’s always been the underdog—the liar, the scaredy cat, the one who dreams big. And his journey has been full of self-doubt. His fallout with Luffy during Water 7 hurt. But they made up. And Usopp kept growing. Thriller Bark was one of his best arcs—his negativity literally saved the crew. This tattoo, with him in that arc, reminds us that Elbaf’s future warrior is still leveling up. We’re all rooting for him.

The Pirate King Needs You

Artist: Libbie (Bean) Summerfield

Sanji has some of the most painful and complicated backstories in the show. From his early days starving on a rock, to Whole Cake Island where he finally broke down and admitted he wanted to come home. That scene where Luffy tells him “I can’t be the Pirate King without you!”Yeah, tears. This tattoo is peak Sanji—cool pose, cigarette lit, ready to throw hands or make lunch. He’s finally accepted who he is—and we love him for it.
